AutoCAD Operator / Detailer

About the role Join the engineering technical team as a full-time AutoCAD Operator / Detailer, translating technical sketches, UL/Intertek test data and design parameters from Engineering Judgement engineers into precise 2D drawings across Civil, Structural and MEP disciplines. Key responsibilities - Prepare accurate Engineering Judgement drawings from engineer sketches, laboratory data and site inputs. - Convert engineering markups, architectural layouts and MEP penetration details into standardized technical deliverables. - Incorporate engineering feedback promptly and maintain drawing revisions and document version control. - Verify drafted details against applicable building regulations, firestop and penetration standards, and structural guidelines. - Flag spatial clashes, dimensional discrepancies and installation challenges before finalizing drawings. - Stay updated on AutoCAD 2D practices, layering conventions and blocks, while developing exposure to 3D/BIM drafting environments. Requirements - Proven AutoCAD 2D proficiency with exposure to Civil, Structural or MEP layouts, including pipe/duct penetrations, concrete structures or architectural details. - High accuracy in drafting, dimensioning, cross-sections and isometric views to produce professional, audit-ready technical documents. - Professional written and spoken English for collaboration with multidisciplinary and multicultural engineering teams. - Understanding of fire protection and building standards such as UL, Intertek, IBC or NBC, and their application to MEP/penetration details, is a strong advantage.
