Who we are

Expertalent is a recruitment and placement consultancy based at Sector 80, SAS Nagar, Punjab 160080, India. We act as the data fiduciary for the personal data you share with us through this website.

What we collect

From candidates: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, city, preferred work location, current and expected CTC, notice period, current designation, LinkedIn profile (if you share it) and your CV.

From employers: your name, company name, work email, phone number, the role you are hiring for, budget, location and any job description or document you attach.

From newsletter sign-ups: your email address and whether you signed up as a candidate or an employer.

Why we use it

To assess your profile against live job requirements and to share shortlisted profiles with employers who are hiring for those roles.

To contact you about your application, a requirement you submitted, or a role that matches your profile.

To send hiring tips, market insights and job alerts — only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.

To keep records we are required to keep, and to protect the site against misuse.

Automated review of CVs

When you upload a CV, we use software to read the details from it and to rate how closely the profile matches a job description. This produces a score and a short written explanation.

This rating is a tool for our recruiters, not a decision. A person reviews every shortlist before it reaches an employer, and no application is rejected by software alone.

Who we share it with

Employers and clients, but only for roles you are being considered for, and only the professional details relevant to that role.

Service providers that host our website, store files and send our emails. They process data on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not trade or rent candidate databases.

How long we keep it

Candidate profiles and CVs are kept for up to three years from your last interaction with us, so that we can consider you for future roles. Employer enquiry records are kept for up to five years for our business records.

You can ask us to delete your data sooner — see your rights below.

How we protect it

CVs and attached documents are stored privately and are not publicly accessible. Access is limited to our recruitment team, and documents are shared through time-limited private links rather than open URLs.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to: confirm what data of yours we hold; correct or update it; delete it; or withdraw a consent you gave us earlier, including marketing consent.

To exercise any of these, email hr@expertalent.in from the address you used with us. We respond within 30 days.

Withdrawing consent means we stop considering you for roles and remove your CV from our database.

Cookies

We use only the cookies and local storage needed to keep the site working and to keep you signed in where relevant. We do not run advertising or third-party tracking on this website.

Any concern about how we handle your personal data can be raised with our grievance officer at hr@expertalent.in or +91 78761 28216. Please write "Privacy" in the subject line so it reaches the right person quickly.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page. Please check back occasionally.
