Internship - VAPT (Vulnerability Assessment & Penetration Testing)

About the Role: A Cybersecurity company looking for a motivated VAPT Intern to join our security team in Pune. This role is ideal for someone who wants hands-on exposure to real-world vulnerability assessment and penetration testing engagements across web applications, networks, APIs, and mobile platforms. Key Responsibilities: Assist in conducting Vulnerability Assessments and Penetration Testing (VAPT) for web applications, networks, and mobile apps Support senior security consultants in identifying, analyzing, and documenting security vulnerabilities Perform manual and automated testing using industry-standard tools (Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, Nessus, OWASP ZAP, etc.) Help prepare detailed technical reports and remediation recommendations for clients Stay updated on the latest CVEs, exploits, and attack techniques Assist with basic network security assessments and configuration reviews Collaborate with the team on internal research and tool development Required Skills: Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS) Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and common web application vulnerabilities Exposure to tools like Burp Suite, Nmap, Wireshark, or similar Basic scripting knowledge (Python/Bash) is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Eagerness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment Eligibility: Pursuing/completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field Relevant certifications (CEH, eJPT, OSCP-in-progress) are a plus but not mandatory What You'll Gain Hands-on experience with real client VAPT engagements Mentorship from experienced security professionals Exposure to industry-standard tools and methodologies Certificate of completion and potential for full-time conversion
